This retrospective spans over five decades of Gary Hallgren’s work, showcasing his vast contributions to the world of illustration. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore more than 50 years of artwork in a variety of mediums, highlighting the evolution of Hallgren’s distinctive style and career.

Hallgren may be best known for his illustrative work on the beloved comic strip Hägar the Horrible, which is featured in newspapers across the globe. However, "Cartoon Intersection" delves into the broader scope of Hallgren’s creative journey, from his contributions to underground comix in the 1970s to his editorial illustrations and animations. While Hägar will not be part of the show, this exhibition provides a deep dive into Hallgren’s extensive body of work, spanning from 1971 to the present.
