About Creative Quarantine Springfield

This exhibit showcases the artist’s work that was completed during their month-long Creative Quarantine, made possible by the MassDevelopment TDI Catalyst Grant and the Springfield Cultural Council. From January 1st to January 31st, twelve artists embarked on a creative journey that was broadcast virtually on various streaming platforms. Throughout the process, the audience was able to engage with the Creative Quarantine artists through panel discussions, question and answer segments in addition to artistic and professional advice. The audience also learned of interesting stories and ideas of all participating artists.

The works that have been created by Kathleen DeQuence Anderson, LaShun Beal, Frankie Borrero, Larry Poncho Brown, Carren Clarke, Louise Cutler, Sheeba Maya, Lorraine MacAlpine, Ryan A. Murray, Deborah Shedrick, Sheldon Smith, and Michelle Vigeant will be exhibited, and available for purchase, at the Art for the Soul Gallery until June 30th 2021.
