This landmark exhibition, The Power of She, centers on the theme of Reclaiming Space—spotlighting women and women/femme-identifying artists who challenge boundaries, claim visibility, and shape narratives through their creative work. The show is a vibrant celebration of strength, resilience, and transformative vision within the arts.
Featuring works across painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, and installation, the exhibition uplifts stories of identity, empowerment, and legacy. Each artist presents a powerful reflection of what it means to take up space—in body, voice, and spirit—offering new perspectives on how art can illuminate lived experiences and collective healing.
This exhibition also marks a defining moment for Art For The Soul Gallery: a heartfelt tribute to our Founding Director, Rosemary Tracy Woods, whose 21 years of leadership, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to representation have shaped the gallery’s legacy. As Rosemary transitions into her new role as Founding Director Emerita, we honor the foundation she built and the pathways she opened for artists across Massachusetts and beyond.
Introducing MRKT.: A Boutique Shopping Experience
Running alongside The Power of She exhibition, MRKT. is a boutique-style shopping experience located inside Art For The Soul Gallery. Curated with intention and care, MRKT. features works from women, femme, and non-binary artists and makers from across Western Massachusetts.
From hand-crafted jewelry and textiles to prints, books, and small-batch goods, MRKT. offers visitors an opportunity to directly support local artists while discovering meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces that embody creativity, community, and cultural pride.
More than a gift shop, MRKT. serves as an extension of the gallery’s mission—to build an ecosystem where artists can thrive economically and creatively, while connecting visitors to the diverse artistry that defines our region.
